Did a discovery flight for my son, who is almost 13, and Dave (our instructor) was really lovely to work with - a super savvy pilot and mechanic with a wealth of experience. We had a great time; my son learned a bit about flight deck orientation and the four fundamentals (straight-and-level flight, turns, climbs, and descents). He even had the chance to practice the taxi and takeoff roll, and we officially logged his first hours toward a future certificate.Dave was excellent at explaining aerodynamics and was patient with a newer student. We also had a positive experience with Chris who was responsive and made booking our flight easy. Everyone was professional, enthusiastic, and highly prioritized safety and professional airmanship. I really loved this online ground school because it gave a great straight forward summary of all the topics that will be required to learn for Private Pilot. If some topics were confusing, every lesson had links to references which had more information and if I ever had a question, David was great with responding in a timely manner. There was also many tips throughout the lessons that were nice to know about aviation in general from their real life experiences. Red Horse Aviation really made sure to deliver the information in a manner that was easy to understand, and the course is setup to not only help pass the exams but also to really learn the different topics that we will always encounter in the aviation world. The course is consistently being updated and Red Horse Aviation does a great job at communicating that a new topic was added or if something was changed so you don't miss out on it. With the addition of having lifetime access, I like that I can come back to review any topics that get brought up again as I move forward in my aviation education and career!
