Couple of Campsites Ideas Around California

Catalina Airport - Known as the "Airport in the Sky" (KAVX), this airport is located off the coast of Southern California. Campsites are positioned adjacent to the taxiway on the southern side of the departure end of runway 22. It is essential to understand that there are no services available, and fees apply for landing, overnight stays, and campsites. Nevertheless, the airport building offers a delicious buffalo burger and a gift shop. Shuttle services are also available to take visitors to the town of Avalon. Oceano Airport - Oceano Airport (L52) is located to the south of Oceano, California, just south of Pismo Beach. The airport has a dedicated campground for fly-in campers, enabling pilots to claim their own area without having to compete with other campers. A self-service fuel station is available for refueling. This airport is conveniently situated next to the beach and the Oceano Dunes and is also within walking distance of the town. Columbia Airport - O22 Airport is situated in the Sierra Mountains, around 40 nautical miles east of Stockton, CA. Visitors can set up their tents at one of the 20 campsites equipped with picnic tables and barbecues, or they can camp directly beneath their airplane's wing. The camping fee at Columbia Airport is just $10 per night per aircraft, which also covers the overnight tie-down charge. Things to remember
